Susu Pianchupattana
Susu Pianchupattana creates “perception paintings” that explore the space between imagination and figuration. Inspired by color, history, and the human condition, her works on paper and canvas form emotional landscapes.
After a successful career in global advertising, Susu pivoted fully to fine art, studying at the New York Studio School. She has since lived and worked between Thailand and the United States, building a practice rooted in both formal rigor and intuition.
Susu doesn’t aim for a single response—she simply hopes viewers “feel something.” Her paintings invite open-ended, emotional experiences.
When a shipment of her work from Thailand burst open in Tennessee, Susu—covered head to toe in red pigment—was mistaken for someone in distress, prompting a police call.
