Asbury Park Art Club is an accessible art studio and creative space located at 1100 Ocean Avenue, just steps from the Asbury Park boardwalk. Our goal is simple: make it easy for people of different ages, abilities and experience levels to spend time together being creative.

Our building includes a ramp for easier access, flexible seating, and tables that can be adjusted to accommodate different needs. There are two handicap parking spaces right out front. Art à la Carte activities are self-paced, and our staff is always nearby to help guests get started, answer questions or provide extra assistance when needed.

A Creative Experience You Can Do at Your Own Pace

You don't need any art experience to participate at Asbury Park Art Club.

With Art à la Carte, everyone at the table can choose a different project and work at their own pace. There is no class to keep up with and no expectation that everyone complete a project in the same way or at the same speed.

Most activities are self-guided, but our staff can offer instructions, demonstrations, encouragement or hands-on help when appropriate. If a particular material or step is difficult, ask us. Whenever possible, we can help simplify a process or suggest another way to approach the project.

Choosing an Art Project That Works for You

Our Art à la Carte menu includes a range of creative activities with different levels of complexity and different types of hand movement.

Some projects involve cutting, threading, gripping small objects or detailed work, while others use larger materials, painting or simpler movements. If dexterity, fine-motor skills or another physical consideration affects which activities will be comfortable, our team can help you choose a project that is a better fit.

Creating Together Across Generations

One of our favorite things about Asbury Park Art Club is seeing different generations making art together.

A young child may be painting while a teenager works on a mosaic and a grandparent creates something completely different, all at the same table. Because everyone can choose their own activity and work at their own pace, families don't need to have the same interests, abilities or art experience to enjoy the experience together.

It's simply time to make something and spend time with each other while you do it.

Our flexible, self-paced format makes it easier to adjust the experience around the individual rather than requiring every participant to follow the same process.
