A Few Things to Know Before You Visit

Snacks welcome. Feel free to bring your favorite snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. No alcohol, please — we’re all about good, clean fun.

Self-guided, but supported. Choose your project from our rotating menu. Each one comes with step-by-step instructions, and our team is always nearby if you need a hand.

Reservation timing. Each session runs for two hours. We’ll hold your spot for up to 10 minutes after your scheduled start time.

Need to cancel? No worries — just let us know as soon as possible so we can release your spot to someone else.

Want to hang out after? There’s a public lawn space right next door — perfect for a picnic, a breather, or just soaking up the boardwalk vibes.

FAQ

Need more info? Start here — we’ve rounded up the things folks ask us most.
Do you provide instruction? Plus

Art à la Carte is self-guided by design, but you’re never on your own. Each project comes with instructions and many include how-to videos. Plus, our team is always nearby to lend a hand.

Are reservations required? Plus

Reservations are not required but highly recommended. Space is limited and booking in advance guarantees your spot. Groups of 4 or more should definitely book to ensure you can sit together.

Can you accommodate large groups? Plus

Yes! We can host up to 25 guests at a time. For groups of six or more, please book in advance through our group reservations page so we can have everything ready for your creative gathering.

Can I bring my dog? Plus

We’re dog lovers! Well-behaved pups are usually welcome, but please let us know in advance so we can make sure it’s a good fit for the space.

Are kids welcome? Plus

Absolutely! We welcome artists of all ages and even have a special kids’ menu. For safety and the best experience, children must be accompanied by an adult, and each guest in your group will select their own project to enjoy.

I am coming with my kid. Do I have to do a project? Plus

Yes. Art à la Carte is designed to be a shared creative experience, so everyone in your party must either purchase an art project or a Companion Studio Pass ($15). The $15 Companion Studio Pass includes a Greetings from Asbury Park Art Club art card to color and personalize, plus access to our Mixed Media Bar to add extra creative touches. Whether you're making your own project or cheering on your little artist, we invite everyone to create together.

Do you do private events? Plus

Yes! We host private events at Asbury Park Art Club, our sister site, Over the Moon, or even off-site. Contact us to chat about making your creative gathering extra special.

Can I bring my own project? Plus

Yes! If space is available, you're welcome to bring your own project. Simply purchase a Companion Studio Pass ($15), which includes up to 90 minutes of studio time. Please note that you'll need to bring your own supplies, and our staff won't be able to provide instruction or materials for outside projects.

Do you have gift certificates? Plus

Yes! You can buy gift cards online.

What if I need to cancel? Plus

Plans change, we get it. Just let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to someone else. Click the cancel or reschedule link in your confirmation email.
