Two Eggs by Susu Pianchupattana is a large, grid-based painting composed of twelve individual canvas panels. Each panel contains softly rendered, intertwined figures enclosed within oval, egg-like forms, suggesting embryos, twins, or bodies held in a protective interior space.
Pianchupattana moves fluidly between figuration and abstraction, using translucent layers, loose brushwork, and shifting areas of pink, red, blue, green, ochre, and lavender. Some figures appear clearly recognizable, while others dissolve into color and gesture. Repetition gives the work a sense of rhythm, while subtle variations from panel to panel suggest different stages, memories, or possibilities.
