Laura B. Ginsberg
Laura B. Ginsberg is a visual artist based in Asbury Park, New Jersey, best known for her dimensional acrylics that capture colorful emotion. Her work draws inspiration from the poetic beauty of the ocean and the unexpected sparks of imagination found in everyday life.
Originally from Alabama, Laura was drawn early on to tactile art forms such as ceramics and porcelain, developing a lasting appreciation for depth, form, and texture. She later studied creative writing and built a career in publishing before embracing life as a full-time artist. Today, she channels bold color, texture, and emotion to explore what creativity means to her.
Her paintings highlight movement, transformation, imagination, and joy—inviting viewers to experience the wonder of both the ordinary and the extraordinary.
Laura also plays the ukulele and sings, using music as another spontaneous way to spread joy and embrace the playful spirit of creativity.
AMAZING!! Beautiful store and very lovely staff. Everyone was so kind and the service was impeccable. The music and the decor all around the store was also such a great touch. Had the best time here!!
Karen was so patient as my partner and I looked over their Art a la carte selection and attentive throughout each step of our creative process. Self directed but with friendly advice employees always ready to offer a hand, extra materials, and answer questions. We were so surprised to find they had only been open for 2 weeks because the whole process went so smoothly. I can't wait to visit Asbury Park again so we can do it again!
A fun new Addition to our area after art cafes became popular in NYC in the last couple years.
The space contains a small shop area featuring clothing and other small trinkets and a separate area for the art studio.
The a la carte art options ranged from around $15 to $35 and from painting to collaging. There’s even a bead bar if you’re making a bracelet. We had a fun time with what we chose!
It’s an expensive outing with more than a couple people, but I will definitely be returning and like supporting local places like this!
Such a gem! The space is beautiful, inspiring and filled with local artwork. They also have an art thrift shop where you can find unique treasures and supplies at great prices. The art cafe is such a creative concept that offers a menu of fun art projects. This place is a true creative hub and a fantastic addition to the neighborhood.
