ARTIST BIO

Amanda Maiorano

Amanda Maiorano is a mixed-media artist based in Long Branch, New Jersey, known for her expressive, energetic work with acrylics, chalk, and Sharpies on canvas and paper. Obsessed with vibrant color, subconscious thought, nature, and typography, Amanda creates pieces that evolve fluidly—often shaped by the music she listens to while painting.

Her work is intuitive and layered, capturing both spontaneous emotion and intentional design. Each piece reflects her mood and soundtrack, resulting in lyrical, surreal, and vividly colored compositions inspired by plant forms, subconscious patterns, and her love of design.

Amanda holds a BFA in Graphic Design from The College of New Jersey and has studied at Parsons School of Design. With career experience in textiles, beauty, fashion, and wallcovering, she brings refined design sensibility to her fine art. At heart, she says, “my soul thrives when I can place a tool to canvas and let the mind wander.”

Amanda hopes her work inspires viewers to release control, tap into their own subconscious, and awaken something within.

Her collection Lyrical Landscape was inspired entirely by an Ice Cube playlist—many of the phrases woven into the series nod to some of the greatest lyricists of our time. For Amanda, music isn’t just a backdrop—it’s a co-creator.
