Becka LaFleur

Becka LaFleur is a self-taught multimedia artist based in Asbury Park, New Jersey, whose emotionally charged works combine painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Using acrylic, oil, and epoxy sculpt on wood panels, she creates surreal worlds filled with celestial beings, feminine figures, and mythic animals.

Her work draws on mysticism, biblical iconography, and the uncanny, exploring the tension between the grotesque and the divine. Themes of transformation, identity, grief, and rebirth flow through each piece, often embodied in richly layered textures and symbols.

Becka’s career began in digital marketing, but after years of creative burnout, she returned to art as a personal outlet. That reconnection became essential to her well-being and artistic growth. Today, she balances her professional work in marketing strategy with a thriving art practice that is instinctive and deeply personal.

“I want people to feel cracked open,” Becka says. Her art seeks to create moments of awe, discomfort, and recognition—meeting beauty and intensity in equal measure.

While working in her studio, Becka often listens to epic fantasy series, immersing herself in imaginative worlds that echo the layered realities she creates on canvas.
